“Game Plan Communications was contracted by the City of Gold Coast to undertake the Griffith University Travel Behaviour Engagement Project in the first half of 2019.
The project involved assessing how staff and student transport to and from the Gold Coast campus could be promoted to encourage greater uptake of active and public transport.

Largely due to a hugely successful O-Week promotion and the marketing around it, the aims of the project according to the brief were realised.”

“Game Plan Communications provided video content coverage of the Unisport Nationals Div 1 and 2 (43 Universities, over 7000 athletes, 30 sports) for all of our digital assets. The results were outstanding with our engagement and audience numbers exceeding three times our target! They are easy to work with and surpassed all KPI’s set. GPC are not only experts in this field but also great at mentoring – providing professional support and real-life work experience for our student interns.”

“The 2019 Gold Coast Safer Schoolies Response was once again successfully delivered by the Safer Schoolies team, a wonderful group of government and non-government agencies and over 1000 selfless volunteers.

Clear communication with the school leavers, parents, the many stakeholders and the general community is vital before, during and after the Response and this year I was pleased to work with the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women and the Game Plan Communications team to effectively get our messages to where they needed to go.”

“From 21-29 June 2019 the city of Minsk in the Republic of Belarus hosted the 2nd European Games international multi-sport competition.
As the Games News Service manager, I assembled an experienced team of sport writers from across the world to provide coverage of these important Games, which comprised 15 sports with eight being qualifiers to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Australia’s Wayne Hickson was the editor-in-chief on the four-member sub-editor desk, bringing his many years of international event experience to expertly manage the team of 12 reporters and some 100 volunteers.
Wayne delivered excellent results for the organising committee and accredited media in attendance at Minsk 2019.”
